Start
dates and course schedules
Íbero Spanish School courses are all three weeks long
per level and are
conducted every week of the year, Monday through Friday.
Students are asked to
take a placement exam before beginning their studies at
Íbero, and a final exam upon the completion of each 3-week
level.
Diplomas indicate the level of the Spanish class in
which the student was last enrolled and the dates during
which they studied with Íbero.
What is the best start
date for my course?
-
Íbero is known to be a
flexible school that adjusts to the time restraints,
flight arrivals, and unexpected changes of plans for
all foreign students.
- It is recommended
to begin your Spanish course during the first or
third week of each month. These two options are
particularly convenient for complete beginners.
- Those at other levels
of Spanish often begin their studies during the
first week of the course, but many others also begin
in the second or third.
Daily Schedule
Íbero Spanish School is open from Monday through Friday

the afternoons between 1.30 pm and 5.30 pm.
Four-hour classes have
a twenty minute coffee break in the middle.

What is
Íbero's system of instruction?
Our system
of instruction for Spanish as a foreign
language begins with a placement test
that will place the
student in the appropriate class from
among the ample offerings here at Íbero.
Once
the student has been placed in the
appropriate class, the instruction
begins with 60 hours, or 3 weeks, of
group classes.
If in
private classes exclusively, the student
is able to reach their desired level
more quickly.
On
Thursday of the last week, Íbero
conducts a review that consists of a
revisiting of all of the topics that the
class has studied, and a more solid
preparation of the students' abilities
for the final challenge: the final exam
on Friday, the last day of the course.
Important:
Every
student who desires to take a course at
Íbero must take the placement test. Only
complete
beginners are exempt.
Students who wish to advance to a higher
level should take the final exam of the
lower level in order to move up.
First day
of classes at Íbero Spanish School
The first
day of classes at Íbero is typically on
Monday.
The
students arrive at 8:30 am and classes
begin at 9. The professors are also here
at this time, and along with the staff
greet all new and returning students.
It is
important to arrive on time (8:30 am)
the first day because it helps to
organize the new week and to simplify
the process of putting new students into
their correct classes.
Classes
begin at 9 am. During the class, the
professor evaluates the abilities and
objectives of each student. The break
begins at 10:50 and lasts for 20
minutes.
Every
student receives the course material
once they have been placed into their
correct level class, after completing
the written and oral evaluation.
