As a Law Professor, I
am a professional teacher as an older student, I was hesitant to study a
new language both of my teachers here at IBERO were excellent.
They were very patient with my numerous mistakes and very encouraging. I
went from zero Spanish to conduct basic conversations. All of the other
students were very serious about learning Spanish. Overall, I would
recommend both Buenos Aires and IBERO school to anyone.

Jacqui Raymond, London, UK.
Early this year, when I decided to improve
my Spanish skills, I was looking for a school in Buenos Aires that
offered me more than only Spanish classes. At Íbero, I
found professionalism that helped me achieve my goals. I signed up for
the SPANGO Program, and really enjoyed it. It is very interesting
to get to know the language of tangueros, the memory of Carlos Gardel
(the most important tango singer in Argentina) and going out to milongas.
I have really worked out!!! It is fun, healthy and a great choice. I
would highly recommend ÍBERO for their professionalism, friendliness,
creativity and great teachers.
Anja Assner, Munich, Germany.
I had the privilege of studying with a great team of Spanish teachers,
as well as a very dedicated Spanish speaking staff at Íbero for 2 months. I have very much enjoyed tango lessons as well
as the complete social and cultural program they offer weekly. I made
new friends from all over the world and enjoyed Argentinian summer,
people and “porteno” culture. If you enjoy languages, nightlife, people
and culture, as well as amazing challenges, then I would highly
recommend that you come to Buenos Aires to study Spanish at this school.
Victoria Burry, USA.
My seven weeks with Íbero have far exceeded my
initial expectations. Studying a wide variety of subjects, especially Lunfardo (Slang from Buenos Aires) and taking part in volunteering work
has enabled me to improve my Spanish, and gain international and
intercultural experience at the same time. I recommend Íbero Spanish
Argentina to anyone wanting to experience life abroad.
Jason Little, Alberta, Canada.
I studied at Íbero in Buenos Aires for almost three
months. Compared to other schools I had studied, the teaching situation
was well established and very professional. The variety of classes
challenged my learning skills. This experience has been very valuable
and most importantly for me, the people at the school and everyone else
are warm and friendly. I would highly recommend studying at Íbero
Spanish Argentina.
Mary Richardson, New York, USA.
Spending five months abroad in Buenos Aires was the best experience I
ever had in my life. Íbero has great teachers: they
are very experienced, kind and friendly. I really liked it because all
of my classmates were people of many different countries and I could
learn different cultures and customs of these people too. Buenos Aires
is wonderful and very affordable too. The school offers a wide variety
of classes and programs to choose from. They are all very interesting! I
have practiced Spanish in a good atmosphere every day!
Keiko Hosaka, Japan.
“Florencia is a
fabulous Spanish teacher. I couldn't have been happier with her lessons.
My Spanish improved a great deal with her help. In two months I went
from beginner Spanish to advanced Spanish texts. By the end, I couldn't
believe how much better my Spanish had become.
Florencia incorporates the politics and culture of Argentina into her
Spanish lessons, which I absolutely loved! Florencia is hard working,
organized, very motivated, and great fun to work with. I would
definitely recommend her to anyone interested in taking Spanish language
classes”.
Alix Van Sickle.
Center for the Study of Democracy Department of Political Science
University of California, Irvine. USA.
I highly recommend the instructors of this program for their
professionalism, didactic knowledge, and innovation in the teaching of
Spanish to foreign students. My professor used a combination of
multimedia teaching materials, along with varied instructional methods,
which kept me interested in the course material and facilitated my
learning of the
Spanish language. Now I am confident in speaking, writing, reading, and
listening to Spanish
Christina Lucas, Washington DC, USA.
"Coming to Buenos Aires for a month was a daunting challenge, for I
spoke no Spanish at all when I arrived! Yet within a week of Florencia's
intensive classes I was more confident and was not only able to
communicate at a basic level but was translating paragraphs and writing
confidently! The small group classes mean you get much more personal
attention, enabling you to learn much faster and have more fun. And of
course there's no greater place to study than Buenos Aires, South
America's liveliest city. In four weeks I went from having Florencia
walk me through my ABCs 'en Español' to understanding Spanish song
lyrics.
Now I find that the Spanish I learnt is helping me in my workplace - I
have the confidence and ability to use Spanish regularly thanks to an
excellent teacher and a wonderful learning experience in beautiful
Buenos Aires!"
Kate Antill. London, UK.
“I was lucky to have these profesoras (Florencia and Valeria)
during my stay in Argentina. I arrived in the country with minimal
Spanish-speaking ability and after studying with all three of them I was
able to fit into and interact socially with the native population of
Buenos Aires. Each of their teaching individually had a great impact on
my skill and confidence with the language, and therefore ultimately on
my self-satisfaction and enjoyment of Argentine and Latin culture. I
recommend all of these (lovely) ladies very highly and hope others get a
chance to benefit from them as I have. They're total rock stars!”
Nathan S. Los Angeles, USA.
“When I came to Argentina, I was lost in translation until I decided
to learn Spanish at Íbero. I remember how little I understood and
thought that it would be impossible for me to learn a new language at
the age of 37. The first week was tough, but by the end of the program
even I was surprised at how much I understood. I must say I have never
in my life been so motivated by excellent teachers and I increasingly
started to love the Argentinian culture because of the teachers at this
program.
I only wish that I had more time because the longer I stayed the more
interested I became in seeing some things outside of the city... For
those of you planning to come to Argentina, try to set aside at least 3
months so you can not only pace yourself in class, but you can take some
weeks off to travel around the country. I definitely plan on returning
the next chance I get. I would certainly recommend doing a Spanish
Language course at Íbero . You will never regret it”.
Marie Berthrand. Paris, France.
"Me llamo Maria Luiza Carbone y en Enero me fui a Buenos Aires para
tomar clases de castellano. Florencia fue mi profesora por dos semanas y
es una óptima profesora, he aprendido mucho en sus clases y ahora puedo
escribir y hablar con mucho más facilidad. Me encantaría volver y tomar
clases con ella de nuevo"...
Gracias por todo,
Maria Luiza Carbone. Río de Janeiro, Brasil.
This letter of reference is in regard to Florencia, an excellent Spanish translator and teacher. I developed a
wonderful relationship with her last summer during my visit to
Argentina. Not only did she help me in my studies, she also gave me some
great insight on the country and how I would benefit from becoming
bilingual. When I return to Argentina (someday), it would be an honor to
get into contact with Florencia once again.
I continue to keep in contact with her and encourage others to study
with her.
Best Wishes to anyone interested in learning the Spanish language.
This Spanish Program is a wonderful resource
for you.
Sincerely,
Ann-Marie Hershey (From California).
